As you are aware, Tower Concepts was acquired by Visible Systems Corporation in December 1998. Since then we have been working to combine our respective businesses with the ultimate goal of continuing to provide superior products and services.
We have integrated our Web site with Visible's. Razor's new URL is www.razor.visiblesystemscorp.com. We have also decided to change the name of this newsletter to "TheEdge". The newsletter format and content will remain unchanged. It will continue to provide Razor-specific information of the type you've grown accustomed to including the light-hearted side that makes it (hopefully) enjoyable to read.

Razor v4.2, Visible's latest release of its powerful problem tracking and file version control product, is due to be released soon. It represents Visible Systems commitment to producing high quality, customer centric products. "We are moving Razor from a 'power tool for UNIX power users' to a 'power tool for every type of user'. We are very excited about this release and we know our customers will be as well!" says Mark Duening, VP/GM - Razor Products at Visible Systems.
Highlights of this new release include:
- Graphical Reporting Users can now create reports through a point-and-click interface producing bar graphs, pie charts, text, and HTML output.
- Integration with Windows IDE's Razor can now be used to manage your files from many of the popular Windows development tools such as Microsoft Visual C/C++ and Symantec's Visual Cafe. If your IDE supports the Microsoft SCC API, the Razor integration will be available to you.
- Graphical Database Administration Windows users will now be able to perform all of their database administration tasks through a single graphical user interface. This functionality includes not only status checking, but also complete database configuration and updates.
Well, not baseball, but Razor training. For all of you who hibernated through our February class...Spring is on its way! We will be offering our End User/Administrator training course on May 9th - May 12th at the Turning Stone Casino and Resort located in Vernon NY.

Here is a tip for the TIME_STAMP attribute. The third field is the time format and may be in a form as specified in the man pages for strftime. An example of a time format is the string %m/%d/%Y. This format will display the date in the format MM/DD/CCYY. Note that conversion characters (i.e. "%m") must be separated by white space or a non-alphanumeric character (i.e. "/").
