RAZOR USER'S FORUM

Our next Razor Users Forum is planned for October 27th and 28th at the Marriott Courtyard in Cocoa Beach, Florida (www.courtyardcocoabeach.com). If you plan on attending, please send an email ASAP to jennifer.stone@visiblesystemscorp.com.

A block of rooms have been reserved for those attending the forum but you must complete your reservations by October 10th in order to qualify for this special rate.

To reserve your room, please contact the Courtyard at (321)784-4800. Be sure to mention "Visible Systems" for rate of $99/night.

A start time of 1:00 PM is planned for Thursday, October 27th and the forum will adjourn at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 28th.

Tentatively, the majority of the time will be spent on the new release of Razor. This will include the new file compare, difference, and merge capability as well as the new release of Version Weaver. We also invite users to give their own presentations on what they have done in customizing Razor to their environment.

IMPORTANT: Anyone who is interested in making a presentation should email Jennifer at jennifer.stone@visiblesystemscorp.com. Your presentation may be as brief or detailed as you like. Tell us
a little bit about your experiences with Razor and how you are using it at your facility. Presenters will receive a cool Razor media bag/briefcase and other goodies.

Razor Tech Tip

The Razor command line may be used to automatically update an issue. The
syntax is:

$ razor -c modify_issue [ -g <group name> ] -f <issue num> -a <attr>:<value>

For example:

$ razor -c modify_issue -g ++ISSUES++.SW -f S...-472 -a QA_Approved:Yes

You can also promote an issue to the next state by typing:

$ razor -c promote_issue [ -g <group name> ] -f <issue num> -s <state>

Be sure to view the help feature of the command line for other useful
commands. Type "razor help" to view a listing of all available commands.
