VISIBLE OFFERS FREE ENTERPRISE-WIDE UPGRADE TO ERWIN USERS

Users can now upgrade from their file-based ERwin system to gain the advantages of the more powerful Visible Analyst, a repository-based tool

WALTHAM, MA -- January 15, 2002 -- Visible Systems announced a competitive upgrade offer for ERwin users who want to overcome the restrictions of a file-based application development system. For a limited time, ERwin 3.5 customers can receive one free license to Visible Analyst for each existing copy of ERwin (www.visiblesystemscorp.com/Products/Analyst/competitive_upgrade.html).

Visible Analyst is a fully integrated repository-based data, process, and UML modeling tool that has many advantages over ERwin: true multi-user repository-based modeling that file-based tools cannot provide; shared model elements across diagrams and projects; and a single user interface for all modeling needs. In addition, Visible Analyst has a bi-directional interface to Visible Developer, a model-based enterprise code generation product that produces nearly full production code from models and user-defined business rules.

The competitive upgrade offer is available through March 2002. The offer includes a free license of the full-featured Visible Analyst Corporate Edition. Users pay yearly maintenance costs, which are $600 per license.
