Application Browser is an interactive analysis tool for existing COBOL applications which gives developers the technical answers they need to make changes to even the oldest, most unstructured application, in less time and with more confidence.

Application Browser works by reading the existing source code and creating a set of intermediate files, called a Code Base.n Build a Code Base once; then use Application Browser to examine the information whenever you need to, either interactively or in hard copy.

When you first load the source files, Application Browser produces an analysis report which summarizes anything unusual about a program's control flow. After the build process is complete, you can examine both graphic and textual overviews of an application's code, control flow, or data flow as often as needed. As you browse these different views, they become an interactive road map through the application.
