ON-DEMAND REPORTING
LCSIS provides the user with the capability to compile and print a series of useful reports that reflect the product data and its status. The LCSIS product information menu is the primary interface for accessing product data, including BOMs, configuration baselines, and family trees. To process any of the reports listed below, the user simply selects the desired product line and the subject of the desired report to view/review the report on screen or to print the report. A special feature in the LCSIS report function allows the user to click on check boxes (approved, canceled, disapproved, new, pending, and review) to select the document changes to be included in the report.
Commonly used report types are described below.
A BOM Report shows the entire physical item hierarchy for the selected configuration by part number, revision, description, quantity, unit of measure, and NHA.
Baseline Reports show the entire physical item hierarchy, including the supporting documents for each item in the hierarchy, for the selected configuration by part number, revision, description, quantity, unit of measure, and next higher assembly (NHA).
Family Tree Reports show the indentured physical item hierarchy for the selected configuration by level, part number, revision, description, quantity, unit of measure, and NHA. Additionally this report shows the status of existing change documents for each assembly, subassembly, and/or part in the selected configuration identification of the end item.
Vault Documents Reports show the status of all documentation for every part in a baseline.
Change Status Reports show the status of the change documents (from those categories that were selected in the check boxes on the Reports screen) that affect every assembly, subassembly, and/or part in the selected configuration identification of the end item. Each change document includes the document number and type, the notice of revision (NOR) number, assembly number, status and status date, implementation code and date, old revision, and new revision.
A Part Status Report shows the status of change documents that affect a single, specific part number.
The Where Used Report shows every NHA on which a selected subassembly or part is used within a given product line, model, top assembly, and configuration.
Each report can include one or more of the following change status option:
- Approved
- Canceled
- Disapproved
- New
- Pending
- Review
